Parks I visited in 2007
Here's the list of parks where I attended a game during 2007. I was able to get a jump on the season by traveling to Puerto Rico on February 1st for the Caribbean World Series. What fun! I'm also thankful that college baseball starts so early in the south ... a practice that the NCAA seems bound and determined to derail (boo!).
My goal, you see, isn't to attend the most games. It's to attend games in the most different parks in a single calendar year. My "personal best" was in 2006 when I hit 65 different ballparks. Prior to that, my own record was 61 in 2005. I guess I wasn't up to the challenge to top that in 2007, as I "only" attended games in 57 different parks. Of those, 17 were first-time parks for me, which ain't too bad.
Along the way in my ballpark travels, I created a spreadsheet that you can use to tally up how many parks you've visited, since it lists all of the big-league and affiliated minor-league teams. If you'd like for me to send it to you free of charge, send an e-mail to the following address (I'm not stringing it all together to prevent those no-good, worthless spammers from stealing it and sending me hundreds of garbage messages): "joemock" then the "at" sign (you know, a "@") then "baseballparks.com". In the subject line simply put "Scoresheet for counting ballparks."
All the parks I've ever seen are on another page. Note that I'm typically way behind in updating this.
If the name of the park below is a link, then clicking on it will take you to the in-depth review (done this year) of this stadium or an article I've written at some point about my experience there. By the way, I do full reviews of all newly opened pro ballparks -- well, at least those in the Majors and affiliated Minors.
So here's the list. For your information, the year the stadium opened
(if known) is shown in parenthesis. If there's an asterisk, that means it's my first time attending a game in this park ... and nothing is more fun for me than that!
