Staying in Tulsa

The Drillers of the Texas League will most likely move into a new downtown Tulsa park in 2011, but those on the city council aren't unanimously in favor.

We often comment on ballparks being built, but thanks to a fan of this site, we discovered a fascinating collection of videos of big league parks being demolished.

Big League Ballpark Notes

The Chicago Sun-Times is reporting that the Wrigley family and Cubs management are talking about the possibility of the Wrigley Company having to pay corporate-sponsorship fees to keep the Wrigley name on Chicago's beloved ballpark (left) ... Reportedly, the Marlins and Miami-Dade County are extremely close to cementing the terms by which a new park will be financed. The team would also change its name to the Miami Marlins ... MLB announced that Wukesong Baseball Field in Beijing, China will host two spring-training games. The Dodgers will play the Padres there on March 15 and 16 ... The Indians are encouraging the Reds to consider joining the Tribe by moving their spring training to Goodyear, Arizona.
