Lynx swan song

Vancouver, the Ottawa Lynx played their last home game Monday. Just as the other franchises now play in the U.S., the Lynx will move to Allentown, PA next season.

Red hot tickets
With the baseball season now in the home stretch, there are some huge match-ups. And since good seats for those games are difficult or impossible to come by, you need a reliable source for those tickets. Prime Seat Tickets is that source! With a convenient and secure way of purchasing hot tickets, you'll be able to see the the Tigers tangle with the Indians, the Dodgers do battle with the D-backs, the Blue Jays tussle with the Yankees, the Cards take on the Brewers or the Twins descend on Fenway. |
Big League Ballpark Notes
The never-ending saga of the purchase of the land where the new Twins stadium is already being built gets more bizarre ... Ernie Harwell, who had proposed an ambitious plan to preserve Tiger Stadium, has modified his approach ... And two items that aren't exactly about ballparks: first, to me, the story of the year in baseball isn't about a steroid-aided home-run record. It's the resurrection of the career of Rick Ankiel. After a humiliating end to his big-league pitching career -- in the playoffs, no less -- he re-made himself as a power-hitting outfielder, toiling in the Minors until a couple of weeks ago. The brilliant columnist Charles Krauthammer captured the significance of this seemingly impossible redemption in a great article. Second, Keith Olbermann used to discuss sports and knew a thing or two about ballparks. But when did he officially become an idiot? |
