Big League Ballpark Notes
The Blue Jays play their home games in Toronto's Rogers Centre, and food-service workers there might be about to unioninze, a move that the team's owner and the current concession contractor don't want to happen ... The final big-league homestand ever to be played at RFK Stadium (left) has begun, so folks are reflecting on the facility's legacy. As Washington Times columnist Thom Loverro points out, "it's not exactly like saying goodbye to Wrigley Field here." ... Seats, World Series banners and even a urinal from Tiger Stadium are on the auction block ... The attendance at Marlins games has been so low recently that a heckler, whose voice was clearly audible in the near-empty stadium, was ejected by the ump. |

We had 33,379 visitors in August, and 281,012 so far in 2007. Our grand total since we started now exceeds 1.2 million!
