Big League Ballpark Notes

The official numbers are in, and Commissioner Selig used the word "staggering" to describe the increase in attendance at MLB ballparks in 2007. The average attendance of 32,785 per game is the highest in big-league history. In fact, eight franchises established new attendance records this year ... While the Yankees won't cash in on the sizable riches that could come from selling the naming rights to their new stadium (left), they announced Monday that they have chosen Creative Artists Agency to maximize other types of sponsorships at the new park ... Perhaps lost in playoff hysteria is the fact the MLB.com website has just posted an impressive multi-media section featuring the big-league parks that are proposed or are now under construction.
