Rays to set sail

Big League Ballpark Notes

It's been over four decades since the Dodgers played in Memorial Coliseum (left), but the team announced they'll play the Red Sox in an exhibition game there March 29 ... The A's continue to face opposition to their proposed move to a mixed-use development in Fremont. The city's ex-mayor has accused the A's plan as providing significantly fewer parking spaces than claimed ... The Nationals announced that the Pope is scheduled to conduct a Mass at their new ballpark next April 17. The park's very first game, by the way, will be an exhibition on March 29 ... As work progresses on the Twins' new facility, more details are being finalized. The exterior will include 100,000 square feet of limestone tiles from a quarry in Minnesota.

Visitors year to date through 11/30: 345,565. Since the site started: over 1.3 million!
