Citi Field

Ugly neighbors, gorgeous park
If you can ignore the hideous collection of auto-repair facilities and chop shops directly across the street from Citi Field's beautiful right-field exterior, then you are in for a treat. The Mets leapt from one of the worst parks in baseball to one of the best in 2009 when their new home made its debut.

Roundly praised for the fabulous entry rotunda (above), reminiscent of the one that existed in Brooklyn's Ebbets Field, you'll soon see that this is just the beginning. You'll find one of the prettiest exteriors anywhere, intimate seating, a kids paradise in center field, fantastic food options, you name it! If you're coming to New York and can only visit either the new Yankee Stadium or new Citi Field, I'd choose the latter if you want to have a more enjoyable experience. And if you're going to see the Mets play, check out Prime Seat Tickets for the best seats at Citi Field.
Also, you'll want to read our in-depth review of the Mets' new playground, complete with 40 photos of the place!
