PNC Park

It checks all the right boxes
When Pittsburgh's PNC Park opened in 2001, it jumped right to the head of the class. Of all of the parks opened since 1990, few (if any) can rival this one in exterior beauty, interior intimacy and spectacular view. That's why it was named BASEBALLPARKS.COM's New Ballpark of the Year for 2001 ... and ranks #1 of all parks opened since 1990.
On the left is the Roberto Clemente statue near the Left Field entryway into the park. The bridge named for him is in the background. That same bridge is in the foreground of the photo on the right. It shows the ballpark being "put to bed" about an hour after the close of a night game during its inaugural season.
In the shot above from 2009, you can see the skyline of Pittsburgh's downtown "triangle." Truly, this ballpark is not only beautiful inside and out, the view you have from the upper deck is among the very best at any sports facility.
