Rogers Centre

SkyDome no more

Since its debut on June 8th, 1989, the enormous stadium in downtown Toronto had been known as SkyDome. Not the SkyDome. Just SkyDome. That changed following the 2004 season, when Rogers Communications became the owner of the naming rights, so today the stadium is known as Rogers Centre.

The word massive doesn't do justice to the enormity of this five-level structure. It dwarfs any other sports facility I've ever seen. It is really a place you need to see to believe.

And if you haven't been there recently, you should plan a trip, as there are a lot of new features (plus Toronto is a fascinating, cosmopolitan city to visit). They've replaced the playing surface, upgraded the immense video board and added a lot of nice touches to the exterior.
