Tropicana Field

They did all they could ...

In ranking Tropicana Field, home of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, as the last-place stadium in the division and last among all big-league parks opened since 1990, I almost feel bad. That's because so much work went into remodeling the old "Thunder Dome" stadium to make it ready for the expansion Devil Rays in 1998. I think that the team and the architects did all they could to make it appealing for baseball, as the walkway from the parking lots, the entryways and the eating options are all excellent. In the end, though, they couldn't un-do that huge ugly ceiling and all of those catwalks.

I have to admit, though, that the really nice seats here are, well, really great seats! For the best tickets to games at Tropicana Field, click here.
